Remember I am here

Fanny Pouillot

This research was an invitation to (re)connect with nature and an exploration of moving ways to be in natural spaces. Four dancers took part in a series of 7 workshops outdoors in a park, led by Fanny Pouillot. These sessions resulted in a sharing in Paris, 17ème arrondissement, with 10 participants, invited to be part of a journey among the trees.

The first part of the sharing was an audio-walk, inviting the participants to arrive in space, notice the details and feel part of that ecosystem.

The second part of the sharing was a little performance, with dancers Claire Hermazveski, Alice Lambert, and Lucie Palazot, who shared the 3 following movement approaches:

-’Roots’: Exploring the energy flows between the bodies (human and tree bodies). Finding shapes and playing with gravity between the dancer and the natural environment.

-’Playfulness’: Exploring some movement games in nature. Inviting childhood memories and going back to a simple connection with nature. With thanks to Chloé Gueroult, 8 years old, who joined us and inspired some of the material.

-’Me and the tree”: Duets between one dancer and one tree exploring the relationship between both: a meeting in which the little details of the 2 bodies (human and tree bodies) cooperate.

Remember I am here was commissioned, produced and mentored by Vanessa Grasse
